Ham Wall Nature Reserve
Nature Detectives Family Trail

Join us at RSPB Ham Wall this Summer and become a nature detective! Help Detective Hoot and Constable Crumbs find out more about nature around the clock!

This is a fun activity aimed at arming you with knowledge of the different habitats wildlife calls home at the reserve, what materials they use to build these homes, what time of day they are most active and how they find things to they like to eat!

With our special Big Wild Summer activity packs (just £3.50), young detectives will be able to join Detective Hoot and Constable Crumbs in learning more about summer wildlife around the clock!

Trails and activities are aimed at children aged 3-11 years old but are fun for all of the family. Please note that dogs are not permitted on some parts of the trail route. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Activity packs costs £3.50 each and can be purchased from the Info Point. Trails are available from 10.30am – 3pm. No prior booking is required. The last trail activity packs are sold at 3pm.

Admission to Ham Wall nature reserve is free for RSPB members, parking fees (£3 all day) apply for non-members.

Don’t forgot to be prepared for a little mud (which can make it more fun!). Trails are suitable for wheels as all paths are hardstanding. For more information on accessibility at Ham Wall please visit our website
