Join us on a hunt to discover what different minibeasts are lurking in the long grass at RSPB Ham Wall! Summer is an exciting time for minibeasts, from beetles, bees and butterflies to woodlouse, there’s plenty to find and identify. Use our sweep nets and identify what you have found with our bug pots, identification sheets and experienced guides.

This event is aimed at families with children aged between 5-12 years. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18 +) at all times. Accompanying adults free.

Please note dogs are not permitted in the area this event takes place.

What’s the refund policy?

If unforeseen circumstances cause RSPB Ham Wall to cancel an event, all ticket holders will be informed and a full refund will be issued. Attendees can receive refunds up to 7 days before the event start date. Refunds are subject to an administration fee. We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of the event.

Admission to Ham Wall nature reserve is free for RSPB members (please display membership cards on your dashboard), parking fees (£3 all day) apply to non-members.
